The book of Daniel

The book of Daniel is often described as two books in one. The first is the tale of young Hebrew exiles who remained steadfast in their faith and thrived despite being captives in a foreign land. The second is the vivid description of Daniels vision of the end times. Linking the two together is the overriding theme that a just and merciful God will deliver the nation of Israel just as he delivered the Hebrew children from their captors.

This class meets in the Ministry Center, Room 104. Email Bobby for more info.

The Gospel of John | STUDY BY DAVE STEELE

The study will use the study materials developed and published by David Steele. As one of the original twelve disciples, John walked with Jesus, heard his teaching and witnessed his many miracles. The purpose of John’s gospel is found in John 20:30-31 where he wrote, “Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." John teaches us who Jesus is, what he wants us to be and the gifts he brings to us in our daily lives and in our eternal salvation.

This class meets in Administration Building Rm 101-102.

The gospel of Mark | Study written by francis chan

LED BY RICHARD KOLODZIEJCYK & Darrell Wehlmann  (in the chapel)

The Gospel of Mark chronicles Jesus’s journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. Along the way, the Messiah gathers a ragged band of disciples. As crowds grow and dwindle on the road to Jerusalem, only a few stick by the Suffering Savior on the road of discipleship. This 11-week DVD based study is written by Pastor Francis Chan. Join us as we walk alongside Jesus! It begins January 9th.

This group meets in The Chapel on Sunday mornings at 9:45am.

Contact Richard about the class.

Prayer is a precious privilege. Additionally, prayer is essential to deepening our relationship with the Lord. Yet many of us (maybe most?) struggle at times to make prayer and time with God a priority in our busy lives. Using the book/video series “How to Pray: A Simple Guide for Ordinary People,” by Pete Greig, we will be exploring various types of prayer with the goal of growing deeper roots in our relationship with the Lord. We will also learn about prayer heroes of church history, and how they walked with the Lord in prayer. Whether you are a new Christian, or a seasoned prayer warrior, join us in this 8-week study as we draw nearer to the Lord together!

Elijah | study by Priscilla Shirer

led by Stacey Winter | Wednesday 6pm | Admin Rm 103

In this 7-week video Bible study, Priscilla Shirer will focus on the life of Elijah. In this study, you will discover how Elijah's obedience to God kept him anchored, sharpened his faith, broadened his impact, and invited heaven's fire to fall. God is also working in your life today to fashion a firey, bold faith that will empower you to share the hope of Christ with your family, friends, co-workers and community.

Drop off your children for Wednesday Night Live and join Stacey and other women for this study!

the book of Galatians

at Barbara Eldridge's home | WEDNESDAYS FROM 3-4PM

Barbara and friends host a weekday Bible Study for women.

This 13 week study starts January 12th. Have you asked, "Who am I?" People seem to have lost their sense of belonging. They ask, "Who am I? What am I worth? Where am I going?" We have lost sight of our real roots. Because of sin, people have forgotten who they are in relationship to God, and to one another. This study focuses on: God's restoration through Jesus Christ of the broken relationship that existed between Him and us; our rootedness in Him, which is strengthened as the Holy Spirit works through God's Word; God's love for us in Christ, which heals broken relationships and provides power to strengthen relationships between us and others.
